Two-week intensive course on nonlinear oscillations, waves and patterns

Summer course at University College Cork, Ireland, July 29 $^{\hbox{\small th}}$-August 9 $^{\hbox{\small th}}$, 1996. This course focused on the essentials of nonlinear dynamics including elementary bifurcation theory, singular perturbation methods, normal forms, geometry of patterns, nonlinear wave propagation in continuous and discrete media, shock and shock regularization and pattern formation in spatially extended systems. Emphasis was placed on integrating state of the art analytical and computational tools.
