Welcome

I am a professor of Applied Mathematics at San Diego State University. My research interests are in modeling complex nonlinear systems. In particular, multidisciplinary nonlinear systems that interface with Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, and Physics. In recent years, I have been working with the Applied Chaos and Dynamics Group at the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Center, San Diego. We are currently exploiting ideas and methods at the forefront of Nonlinear Dynamics to design and operate the next generation of highly-sensitive, low-cost, sensors. In particular: magnetic- and electric-field sensors and inertial navigation systems.

We are also co-organizing the 2nd International Conference on Applications in Nonlinear Dynamics (ICAND 2010), to be held in Lake Louise, CANADA, September 21 - 25, 2010:
