Magician and magical innovator, Walter Zelhofer started his career in the magic at the age of twelve. After studying magic and performing tricks on the streets of Grass Valley for several years, Zelhofer started performing magic in local libraries, company banquets and sports clubs. At the age of 18, he created, directed, and performed in his very own one-man illusion show, donating all profits to the Nevada Union High School.
Since then, Walter has performed for thousands around the world. Zelhofer has been entertaining at corporate events, company picnics, college events, holiday parties, conventions, banquets, meetings, private parties and fund raisers for nearly a decade. In 2006, Zelhofer was asked to perform for the US embassy in La Paz, Bolivia. He remains a member of the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, and The Nevada County Magician’s Guild. His experiences have made him one of the most versatile magic entertainers in San Diego.
Today, he is writing his first book on magic containing original effects and psychological theory. Sections of the work can be found in the “Member’s Only” portion of this site.
Zelhofer is a full-time student at San Diego State University pursuing a degree in International Business and a minor in French. He is also a supervisor at the Student Computing Center, a web developer for ITS for SDSU, and a consultant for Ameba Marketing in San Diego.
