Declaring a Business Pre-Major Note: the following
information applies to students whose major is anything other than a business pre major and who wish to change a business Pre-Major. The rules and procedures for declaring
an upper division Business major (such as Accounting or Marketing)
are different. Admission to the Business Pre-Majors is controlled by the College of Business Administration. Students must meet
specific requirements in order to be able to change to any business premajor.
When you meet one of the requirements listed above, you should contact the Business Advising Center (EBA 448) for information on how to change your major. You may not take FIN 240: Legal Environment of Business or BA 290: Business Communications, until you have declared your pre-business major. However, you may take all the other major preparatory courses and your general education courses even if you are not yet a pre-business major.
