The
Minors in the College of Business Administration
The minors in the College of Business Administration
are intended to give students a structured introduction to a specific
area of Business Administration. Students who wish to minor in Business
Administration may choose from the following available minors:
Accounting
Business Administration (general)
Finance
Information Systems
Management
Marketing
Real Estate
Students who are majoring in any areas of Business
Administration, International Business, or Hospitality and Tourism
Management may not minor in Business.
The Business minors are impacted and availability
is limited. Therefore, before declaring a minor a student must meet
the following requirements.
1. Be a declared major (not pre-major) with at least
60 units completed.
2. Have completed the following courses with a
grade of C or better in each:
Economics 101 (Macroeconomics)
Economics 102 (Microeconomics)
A 3-unit course in Statistics
3. Have completed Rhetoric and Writing 100, 200,
and Communication 103 (or any combination of courses that satisfies
the General Education requirements in Communication and Analytical
Reasoning).
4. Have completed 9 units in the department of
the major, including at least 6 units in upper division courses.
Courses listed above may not be used to meet this requirement.
5. Have an overall GPA of at least 2.9. (This GPA
requirement is subject to change. Students must meet the requirement
in effect at the time that they declare the minor.)
Students who meet the requirements for the minor
should bring an unofficial transcript to the Business Advising Center
(BA 448) to obtain a Change of Minor form.
After declaring the minor, students should complete the requirements
of the minor.
