The master’s program consists of 10 courses taken in sequence. Classes meet for eight (8) hours on Fridays and Saturdays with a two-week break between each course. Classes are held on both SDSU (San Diego and Calexico) and UABC (Mexicali, Tijuana, Tecate, and Ensenada) campuses.

There are 48 hours per academic module for a total of 480 hours. The next group of master’s students will begin classes in August 2006. Students will complete the requirements for the master’s in April 2008. The program is now accepting applications.

  2. Seminar in Comparative Federalism: Mexico and the United States
  3. Seminar in Comparative Fiscal Structures: Mexico and the United States
  4. Seminar in Environmental Administration and Management in the Transborder Region
  5. Seminar in Transnational Criminal Justice in Mexico and the United States
  6. Seminar in Data Sources and Policy Analysis on the U.S./Mexico Border
  7. Seminar in Comparative Urban Planning: Mexico and the United States
  8. Seminar in Organization Theory: Comparative Application
  9. Seminar in Special Topics of the Border Region
  10. Border Practicum
