This is my blog about my desire and road to becoming an Air Force Officer and a Pilot

The minimum commitment for Pilots is 10 years after training
which turns out to be around 12 years.
I am estimating that I will stay in until retirement, which is anytime after 20 years of service or until I reach General ranks.

Here's a little bio on me:
DOB: 6 July 1986
Place of Birth: Glendale, CA
Hometown: Minneapolis, MN (age 2-16)

Follow along each semester to see my progress and learn from my experiences and make sure to leave any comments you have on the guestbook. Enjoy.

Some quick advice if you want to get a pilot slot in the Air Force:
Pick a major that you have some interest in but most importantly, that you will be able to get good grades in. If you think that having a technical major like Engineering will help you, you are very wrong! Your GPA is heavily weighted in the pilot selection process and your major is not considered AT ALL. I have known people get selected who are Forestry majors. The only thing that a technical major might help you with is to get a scholarship initially.

Make sure you check out the gouge page to see some very useful links and documents that you can use.
