Carol, in her beloved city of Athens, took this photo (superimposing the image of Athena from a silver tetradrachm coin minted in 137 BC) after dreaming about Athena, the Olympian Goddess of wisdom, technology, strategic war, and crafts (i.e, silversmithing, weaving, and pottery). Athens is named after its patroness, Athena. The night before her dream Carol was interviewed on the telephone by the doctoral admissions committee in San Diego, California. This dream inspired Carol to envision her future as a "weaver" of information and educational technology to promote cultural understanding.Carol is a lifelong learner who will:
- continue to collaborate with other universities (i.e., in Greece) in the area of educational technology, conceptual change, eLearning, and mobile commerce
- work on projects to improve the learning environment of children (especially, children with learning disabilities), using appropriate technology
- develop children's programs emphasizing universal living values in art, music, and theatre
- pass the "torch" of knowledge and wisdom to others in the world community for educating people about the humane and inhumane aspects of technology.
