Adaptive Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery Methods

The goal of this project is to propose hybrid techniques and software environment for adaptive on-line data mining and knowledge discovery in distributed data sets. The proposed methods will merge techniques used in statistics, rough sets, adaptive systems and neural networks.

The project focuses on feature extraction and selection, image and time series recognition, and content-based image retrieval.
