Mexico Lobster This Weekend!

Posted on October 8, 2007 - Filed Under SPS Events |

Hola, fellow physics students! We are heading south of the border this weekend to the small town of Puerto Nuevo to partake in some outstanding lobster dining. We’ll meet in P247 at noon on Saturday and drive down to the San Ysidro boarder crossing, park, and walk across. From there, we catch a cab which will take us strait to Puerto Nuevo. The restaurant we’ll eat at is great! $15 buys you two and a half lobster tails, melted butter, tortilla soup, beans, rice, tortillas, chips, salsa, guacamole, a margarita, and a shot of tequila. I’ve (Derek) eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. After eating we can walk around and look at the little Mexican barter shops and buy whatever if we want. We should be back across the boarder by around 4PM. As for prices, you should try and bring cash (preferable smaller bills) totaling at least $40. The cab shouldn’t be too expensive but $40 should cover any worst-case scenario. If you have any questions just shoot an email or stop by P247. Hope to see you there!
