Abstract
Article detailing the different uses of podcasts on college campuses. Article examines how podcasts and mobile learning can complement traditional college classrooms and impact the learning process for students.

- Brief history of podcasts and definition of the elements of a podcast.
- Define mobile learning and how it can be used for the deployment of podcasts.
- Different uses of podcasts for college students, administrators and faculty. Discuss 5 academic uses for ipods as defined by Duke University iPod First Year Experience Final Report.
- Detail barriers to integrating podcasts into everyday practice, such as infrastructure costs, training and development, and varied multimedia formats.
- Summary of results of research on how podcasts impact student learning in traditional classrooms.
