SHANGHAI

The most populous city in China, Shanghai is at the forefront of China’s rapid economic growth. It is the center of China’s commercial and business activities. It is a modern and dynamic metropolis, rooted in an ancient civilization. Shanghai is also a transportation hub of China, allowing students to travel to other parts of China on their own before or after the program.

Most exciting of all, Shanghai was the site of a grand international gathering as it played host to the 2010 World Expo, the first registered World Exposition in a developing country! You will have chances to visit the Chinese pavilion and other pavilions which attracted millions of visitors during the Expo.

East China Normal University is one of China’s top 20 research universities, with about 14,000 undergraduate, 12,000 graduate students and over 3000 international students. ENCU has a beautiful campus that provides first-rate facilities for international visitor, including first-rate housing and classroom amenities and a full support staff for visiting students.
