Teacher Development

Student achievement in science is directly related to teacher knowledge of science and how science is taught. The thirty teachers involved in the current partnership have numerous opportunities to enhance their science content knowledge using a three-year curriculum that includes:

  • molecular genetics
  • the Drosophila genome compared to human genome studies
  • human anatomy and physiology
