Environmental
Studies
and
Sustainability
The Environmental
Studies and Sustainability major and the Environment and Society minor are designed
for students interested in an interdisciplinary approach to sustainability and
the environment. These programs
prepare students for careers or graduate study in public policy, law, and
activism, among others.
The major is currently
in the SDSU Catalog under Social Science:
Emphasis in Environmental Studies.
It consists of 33 upper division units, including a 9-unit required
core, a 9-unit distribution requirement, and a 15-unit interdisciplinary
focus. Students are encouraged to
design a focus to meet their own interests.
The minor is currently
in the SDSU Catalog under Interdisciplinary Studies. It consists of 15 units, including a 6-unit required core
and 9 units of electives.
