Just a lil FYI… For those of you wondering “Sunset Clefs? WTF?!?” The name Sunset Clefs is a wonderful fusion of the names Sunset Cliffs, a lovely beach-side landmark here in San Diego, and the musical concepts of treble and base Clefs.  That would classify our name as a pun… YAY!!! The Clefs were conceived in December 2003 by one grad student and two undergrads at SDSU. Shortly after, in the Spring of 2004, we became a student organization and have been growing ever since.  We currently have fourteen “unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe” Clefs (members), but unfortunately, we have lost almost as many members to “collegiate ejaculation” (College Graduation) and other such mishaps.

Our performances range from campus wide, to city wide, to state wide (we have yet to make it country wide, but we will get there), and include some of the most popular pop songs in current pop culture. We perform mainly with Ivy League and top academic universities from the west coast such as UCSD and Stanford but we hold our own because, face it, we can teach them a thing or two…for, when it comes to doing it in front of an audience, we are among the best.   Sunset Clefs…orally satisfying SDSU since 2003.

3/20/06	A Cappella Showcase	Tula Community Center (SDSU) @ 7PM	The Northwestern University Undertones will be joining the Clefs here at SDSU for a small showcase show.
4/14/06	Asian/Pasific Student Alliance (APSA) Talent Show	Montezuma Hall (Time TBA)	APSA Talent show is a great show that we have been asked to either compete in or be the opening act.
5/5/2006	2nd Annual A Cappella Fest	Backdoor (SDSU, Aztec Center) @ 7PM	This will be the second annual festival put on by the Clefs where we invite A Cappella groups from all over California to come sing with us for one great night, including groups such as the Tritones and the Dots from UCSD and more.
