Becausing of the filtering the AS1 system is not too good at

recording short duration "events" such as footsteps.  It should

respond, however, if you step next to the boom and stay there

very still for 10 seconds and then step away and remain quite

for another 10 seconds.  This should produce a good pulse on

the computer screen if things are working  correctly.
