The north side of Hopkins Pass .

Hopkins Pass (just left of the cornice on the ridge - 11,400'+) connects Big McGee Lake and Upper Hopkins Lake. This picture was taken SW of Big McGee Lake and the old trail on the north side of the pass is visible in the foreground. This trail can be easily followed up the right side of the drainage until reaching a tarn below the pass. It then climbs steeply upwards to the pass. Depending on snow conditions much of the old trail is still usable. The south side of the pass is very easy. Map.
