Gem and Waugh Lakes
Gem (the lower lake) and Waugh lakes are artificial lakes inside the Ansel Adams wilderness. The dams were built around 1915. A third, lower lake is Agnew lake which is not inside the wilderness boundaries. A power house is below Agnew lake. The Rush Creek trail pass just above and north of these lakes. The picture was taken from the high point about a 0.5 mile ne of the northern most Clark lake.
