Math 252 (Calculus III) Written Homework Problems

Multivariable Calculus by James Stewart, 5th edition (2003)
(Problems with * have hints in the CD under TEC "Tools for Enriching Calculus")

Here is the revised list of homework for Chapter 17, abbreviating the ones below somewhat due to the irrevocably lost time the last week of October.

Homework Hints

Don’t allow yourself to get easily discouraged. Math at this level takes persistence, and steady effort is worth more than sporadic bursts. Getting half or two-thirds of the homework problems is quite decent. See "grading structure" in the syllabus.

Use any of these sources of help:

  • Math Department tutoring
  • MESA Engineering Program tutoring
  • the "Tools for Enriching Calculus" on the CD that came with the text book
  • online tutoring mentioned in the syllabus is found at www.StewartCalculus.com
  • my office hours:
    • Monday & Wednesday 9:25 AM - 9:50 AM
    • Tuesday & Thursday 12 noon - 1:30 PM or to 2 PM if a student is there
    • Friday 2 PM - 3 PM
    • and maybe an extra hour or two as the course winds down, TBA

Be sure to use standard notation and observe all guidelines.
