- A.B. Math, Stanford and UCSD, 1975
- M.A. Math, SDSU 1994 - Technically it's in Math Ed, but I also have the course credits for one in pure math, which is the area I've migrated to for the last 5 years or so.
Areas of greatest interest in math:
- number theory
- non-Euclidean and n-dimensional geometry
- fractals and geometric measure theory
- complex variable theory
Other interests:
- playing piano and listening to classical music
- movies, when there are any good ones; some older movies on tape
- reading history, science fiction and fantasy, and books dealing with exploration, cosmology, topics of current interest in math or modern physics
- swimming in ocean water, in the warmer months
- traveling to beautiful places with my wife
- cooking
- chess

This is me, enjoying the paradise of Tahiti in 1989; I don't remember who the fat guy in the orange and white shirt was.

I would probably have enjoyed Tahiti even more, had I been married to her then.
