Mission & Overview

The Corky McMillin Center for Real Estate was established in 2009 with a donation from the McMillin family who own one of San Diego’s most successful real estate and development companies. The Center is part of the College of Business Administration at SDSU and exists to further real estate education and research across the University.

The Center has three inter-related missions: 1) improve the education experience of real estate majors and students interested in real estate; 2) promote high quality real estate research; and 3) provide value added products and services for the real estate industry. The vision of the founders is to make SDSU a center of real estate excellence.

The center furthers its mission through support for real estate course development and delivery, sponsored research on topics relevant to the real estate industry, delivery of semiannual networking events bringing together faculty, students, alumni and industry supporters and support of students through the real estate society.
