The Corky McMillin Center for Real Estate was created to further real estate education, research and community service at San Diego State University (SDSU). Our goals are to produce ready-day-one students, nationally recognized research and a forum for public discussion of real estate issues.
Produce Ready-Day-One Students
In an increasingly complex marketplace, it is essential that we provide graduates with relevant, in-depth knowledge and tools that will allow them to be leaders in the real estate industry. The Center contributes to this goal through funding lecturers, providing internship and scholarship opportunities for students and supporting the student Real Estate Society of SDSU.
Create a Nationally Recognized Real Estate Research Center
The Center supports real estate research that serves to enrich the academic program and add value to the market. Center staff and associates publish articles on current issues in academic and trade publications and participate in academic and industry forums.
Provide a Forum For Public Discussion of Real Estate Issues
The Center offers programs to link the campus with the San Diego community and real estate industry, including networking events, guest speakers and seminars focusing on topics of interest to the market. In the past year we have held breakfast seminars on both residential and commercial real estate, networking events for alumni and students and a career-counseling workshop for students.
All this would not be possible without the hard work of the Center staff and the Real Estate Advisory Board. We invite you to get involved with The Corky McMillin Center for Real Estate and join us in supporting real estate at SDSU.
