Sixth North American New Researchers Conference

July 29 - August 1, 2003
Travel to NRC:
The conference begins at 12 pm on July 29. You may arrive and register
on July 28 (check-in after 2 pm) or the morning of July 29. Choose your
travel times accordingly.
If you are attending JSM after NRC, we ask that you purchase
a one-way ticket from your home to Sacramento (airport code SMF)
for NRC and then a one-way
ticket from San Francisco to your home after JSM.
We will provide transportation
(bus or train) from Davis to JSM in San Francisco after NRC.
If you are not attending JSM after NRC, fly in and out of
Sacramento (airport code SMF).
We will provide a shuttle from Sacramento airport to the NRC site in Davis.
If you are driving to NRC, send Rich Levine an email (ralevine@sciences.sdsu.edu) to
get a parking permit. We recommend parking in the Parking structure at E 15
on the
UC Davis map.
Travel from NRC to JSM: We will provide a bus leaving from our
accomodations at NRC in Davis to Hilton San Francisco, 333 O'Farrell Street,
(JSM conference site)
on Saturday August 2 at 10 am.
Accomodations:
Housing provided for July 28 through August 2
(check-out by noon August 2), three meals a day starting with dinner
July 28 and ending with
breakfast August 2.
We will be housed in Leach Hall, part of the
Tercero area (J-K 9 on the
UC Davis map), suite-style facilities.
Check-in: After 2 pm on 7/28 at the Tercero Area desk, located in the same
building as the
dining hall.
For those arriving after 11 pm,
there will be an after hours phone number posted in the lobby for after hours
check-in.
Single room accomodations, with linens and towels provided.
Conference location: most sessions will be in the Memorial Union,
G 14-15 on the
UC Davis map,
with special events taking place near the
UC Davis Aboretum.
Travel reimbursements:
We will ask you to submit travel reimbursement forms and
receipts as soon as you possibly can following the conference.
The following bullets contain the relevant form and instructions.
Fill out the form as completely as possible including travel dates and expenses,
address, SSN, and signature on the form and send us
all relevant receipts. You will be reimbursed
by one of the grants we obtained for this conference, awarded through
the San Diego State University Foundation.
