  • PRISONTOUR NOW CARRIES "PRACTICUM" CREDIT!
    • PrisonTour NOW counts as a "practicum" (like internship) for ALL CJA majors, regardless of when you declared major or premajor or when you began your studies at SDSU!

    • PrisonTour has been a highlight of CJA education at SDSU for more than 20 years! Two thousand students have participated, going on to careers in law, law enforcement, corrections, education and a variety of other areas. The near-universal consensus has been that the PrisonTour was the single "most valuable learning experience" of their lives and the most valuable component of the criminal justice program! There is NO question that the PrisonTour affords an education you can get NOWHERE ELSE, as it provides a lifetime of memories and lessons! Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

  • GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • The January & spring break PrisonTours count for spring credit, enabling you to graduate in June; the May and June tours count for summer credit, enabling you to graduate in August. You may "walk" through graduation before actually completing all requirements, but a diploma will be issued only after all requirements have been met.

    Dr. Sutton is always seeking competent, enthusiastic assistants to work on high-quality video programs about crime and justice. Programs involve non-linear editing on Apple computer system, using Final Cut Studio and related programs.
  • Dr. Sutton is always seeking outstanding, motivated students to assist with class preparations, handout materials, powerpoint presentations, web design and exercises, etc. Must be proficient with Apple computer. seeking persons with knowledge of Apple software like:
    • Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Adobe "GoLive" (for website development)
    • Final Cut Studio
