Brief Bio

I am an economist specializing in macroeconomic aspects of international trade and finance.  My areas of interest include the transmission of business cycles across borders, growth in trade and changes in its composition, central banking and monetary policy, financial crisis, the roles of international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, the deepening of financial markets in South East Asia, and the emergence of China.  I am presently researching the transmission of business cycles when aggregate expenditures include goods with different degrees of tradability and durability.

My teaching interests include money and banking, macroeconomics, and international economics.
