SDSU Pre-College Institute

The Pre-College Institute is an umbrella organization founded by Dr. Cynthia D. Park at San Diego State University that houses various TRIO programs and other programs designed to aid underserved populations of 8-12th grade children.

SDSU Imperial Valley Campus

The Imperial Valley Campus is a two-year upper division campus of San Diego State University serving the desert area of southeastern California. It is accredited as an integral division of SDSU and operates under the same academic calendar. Established in 1959 by an act of the State legislature, the campus is located in the Imperial Valley on the Mexican border in the city of Calexico. Offering the last two years of undergraduate education, graduate programs, and fifth year credential programs for teacher preparation, the campus accepts students who have at least 56 transferable units from community colleges or other accredited institutions.

Imperial Valley College

The Imperial Valley College campus is located on a 160-acre site at the intersection of Highway 111 and Aten Road, in Imperial, California. This location is in the heart of Imperial County and is within reasonable commuting distance of all of the cities in the Valley. There are also extended campus centers in the cities of El Centro, Brawley and Calexico. The mission of Imperial Valley College is to foster excellence in education that challenges students of every background to develop their intellect, character, and abilities; to assist students in achieving their educational and career goals; and to be responsive to the greater community.

El Centro Elementary School District

The El Centro Elementary School District is committed to making real improvements in our schools. Our mission is to ensure greater success for all members of our diverse student population, both in our schools and after promotion to high school.

The district will reform its schools in collaboration with key stakeholders in the El Centro School District community. These include leaders in local business, community organizations, higher education, and foundations, as well as parents, students, the board of trustees, and district staff (administrators, teachers, and classified employees). All of us have a stake in creating schools for a better community, and a community for better schools.

Cal-SOAP

The California Student Opportunity and Access Program, or Cal-SOAP, is commited to providing information about postsecondary education and financial aid, and raising the achievement levels of students from low-income families, from schools or geographic areas with documented low eligibility or college participation rates, or from families in which they would be the first to attend college.
