Initial Report for tentative student exchange Sub-agreement between San Diego State University, Imperial Valley (SDSU-IVC), and the Universidád Católica de Córdoba (UCC).

I. Items discussed and tentatively agreed upon thus far:

A. Nature of Student Exchange Program: The program would fall under a sub-agreement added to the agreement of cooperation entered into by SDSU-IVC and UCC in 1999.  This sub-agreement would thus represent the first actual cooperative effort between said institutions.

B. Nature of sub-agreement: This sub-agreement would apply solely to the exchange of SDSU-IVC graduate students interested in acquiring the Master’s in Business Administration offered by the I.C.D.A. and UCC., and UCC students interested in acquiring the Master’s of Science, Business Administration/ International Business offered by SDSU-IVC.

C. Subsequent sub-agreements: Subsequent sub-agreements for graduate and undergraduate, degree-seeking students in all majors offered by SDSU-IVC and UCC will be considered.  The nature of these sub-agreements will be discussed at a future date; specifically, the question of establishing separate sub-agreements for each major, or one sub-agreement to cover all majors.  Martin Sola believes it would be best to establish separate sub-agreements for each major as allowed in theory by article five of the cooperative agreement entered into by SDSU-IVC and UCC in 1999.

D. Nature of Programs: Master’s in Business Administration, UCC/ICDA:

1. MBA: The MBA program offered to SDSU-IVC students would consist of a one academic year program running for ten months.  During this period, SDSU-IVC students would complete all course work and Master’s Thesis required for the MBA.  Courses would run Monday through Thursday, from 6 to 10 p.m.  In addition, students would be required to attend courses two weekends out of every month.  These courses would be held on Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
