Description

The following Desktop Products are available:

  • Eudora - Email package (Qualcomm) is more than a way to send and receive messages - it's a powerful management tool with features to increase your productivity and enhance your communications. Current version available is 6.x for Macintosh and Windows platforms. SDSU Faculty, Staff, and Students may obtain and use a Paid mode Eudora client for free through the TNS department at SDSU.
  • McAfee - AntiVirus software is a limited Site License for SDSU computers used by SDSU Faculty (Adjunct faculty are not covered), Staff, or campus computer labs. Home use or use by Students is no longer allowed. The software and definition updates are available on the ROHAN ~avir web site. Access to the site is restricted to SDSU Faculty and Staff on SDSU IP addresses only. The ROHAN web site does require the Username and Password, given to the IT contacts, the first time it is accessed.

Please be aware that VirusScan 4.5.1 SP1 is the last version that will support the Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME operating systems.

  • Meeting Maker - Client/server calendaring software (Meeting Maker Inc). UCO has extended the Meeting Maker license agreement including maintenance through September 30, 2007 for SDSU Faculty and Staff. A Calendar sub-committee of MWSSLS has been formed to take the time between now and the expiration of the maintenance agreement for Meeting Maker to review current and upcoming software packages that include calendaring to determine if there is something else that will fit the needs of the campus. The software may be installed on Windows, Macintosh, and Unix platforms. Meeting Maker provides handheld capabilities with new version 8 (some exceptions, contact UCO).
