Apple Macintosh Minimum Desktop (iMac) System

  • Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; 3.33 or higher GHz Intel Core 2 Duo for high-end workstations

  • Memory: 4 GB RAM or greater than 4 GB RAM when using the iMac as a high-end workstation

  • Video RAM: 256 MB on the Graphics card; 512 MB for high-end workstations

  • Ethernet: 10/100/1000 BASE-T (built-in)

  • Hard Disk: 1 TB; 2 TB for high-end workstations

  • Optical Drive: DVD-R (a writable DVD to the -R standard; one of many writable standards)/CD-RW (This drive is a.k.a. Superdrive and is standard)

  • Other Write-able: USB Flash Memory drive (also known as jump, pen, thumb or key drive) [optional, recommended for large file storage].

  • USB: Bundled, as is FireWire (IEEE-1394); Bluetooth connects digital devices wirelessly and is optional on most models.

  • Monitor: 21.5 inch integrated flat panel monitor; 27 inch for high-end workstations.

  • Keyboard: Apple Keyboard; Default is Wireless and without Numeric Keypad; Optional is Wired and with Numeric Keypad.
  • Mouse: Default is the new Wireless Multi-Touch Apple Magic Mouse; Optional is the Wired Apple Optical with scroll button Mouse.

  • Surge Protector: Capable of EMI/RFI filtering with at least 6 outlets, UPS recommended for some high-end workstations.

  • Extended Warranty: Covering parts and labor for 3 years - Applecare
