October 15, 2009
Meeting in AH-1120 at 10 a.m.
Diana Osborn, Chair

ITS Update
There was an announcement that Smart Classrooms would be moving to Active Directory Services by Spring 2010.

AA Update
Patchlink has had progress, but still waiting on a Firewall rule being implemented before deploying clients. Everyone can run their own Patchlink server, but there is a planned upgrade to the Testbed server that Diana Osborn administers that will allow others to use it as their Patchlink server. It will be one installation with a hierarchy that allows others to run their portions on the same hardware. Felecia Vlahos will provide John Ross with a list of departments who are waiting for this server option.

IT Security Office Update
A reminder was given that Foundstone scanning should be done once a month and that the IT Security Office can tell, if it is being done.

The department's Security Audit Milestone plans give SDSU a snapshot of where the campus is in completing all items for the audit. This information is going to the President in November and as of today, 13 out of 49 departments have not yet submitted their plans. Please update your plans (allowing for the new furlough environment) and send them into the IT Security Office.

Captivate/Camtasia
Diana has a quote for Camtasia of 50 users at $15000 plus $3000 for maintenance (the $3000 is a yearly cost).
