Meeting Maker Upgrade
UCO is planning on pushing out the new Meeting Maker clients (standard & web) between 7/25/08-7/31/08.  This will be done before the server receives new hardware and software.  If users have administrative rights on their Windows computers, they can install from the online notification.  Users who do not have these rights will wait for their college's IT support to handle the installation.  The clients will be available for college's IT support to download from the UCO web site.  Installation of the new client version will be in the background of Windows awaiting a signal from matching server software before activation.  Once the server has been changed over to the new version at the end of July, there will be a grace period of several weeks before the old versions of Meeting Maker will no longer connect to the server.

Outstanding issues are:

Mail Server
Recently the Mail server changed some of their SPAM filters and subscribed to some new Black lists.  Users are noticing a reduction in SPAM.  Continuing to refine their methods, they will be looking at reducing "auto-reply" messages next.

The Mail server will be going to a new certificate the weekend of July 19th.  Users will either notice no change or will need to accept the new certificate the next time they log into their Mail account.

Patch Management Status
The Zenworks patch product has been purchased. Diana Osborn, at the end of July, will be getting the media and license keys.  Extended Studies/Merka Phoenix will be leading the charge on installation and use.

McAfee/EPO
Diana Osborn is now on the notification list from McAfee, so communications about changes should improve.  There will be upcoming meetings between the Associate Deans and IT Leads to check on the status of the EPO deployment.  EPO is not working for Mac computers and no estimate has been given about when this will be fixed.

Security Audit Update
The Security Audit Team was here this week doing their scanning processes.  It was noted that no academic server received an intense scan.  Next week, the team will be doing remote scans of the entire campus network. The Security Audit Team will meet with ITSO during the process to share their findings and provide tips on how to strengthen SDSU security.

ADA/ATI Project
It was announced that the ADA/ATI compliance project would be returning to top priority and meetings between the Associate Deans and IT Leads would be occurring soon.

Next meeting will be August 21, 2008.
