Software Survey
The software survey contact list was reviewed.  A reminder was given that the next software snapshot will be October 31st.  Please have your college software information up to date.

SAS
No answer on SAS as of yet.

Patch Management
This is still with the IT Managers group and no additional news at this time.

Parallels
Diana needs the current number of existing licenses and the desired number of future licenses from those interested in a volume purchase.

Deep Freeze
Deep Freeze materials have been turned over to Celia Chavez and no additional news at this time.

EndNote
Ethan Singer’s office needs a presentation that EndNote is not another database that the Library should buy.  Audience is Faculty, Staff and Graduate students.  The product is approximately $20000 a year.

Stata
There are about 20 users of Stata in the College of Arts and Letters. Diana needs the current number of existing licenses and the desired number of future licenses from those interested in a volume purchase.

Leopard
The announced ship date of Leopard is October 26th.  We should see media about a month later.

McAfee
Version 4 of McAfee’s new ePO is now available on ROHAN; including patch 3 for 8.5i.  Bob Hilchey is testing an upgrade this next week, then he will test a clean install.  ROHAN can push out the client; it works with older version.

Apple Support options
No update on this, so continue with AppleCare purchases.

SPSS
SPSS version 16.01 for Windows, Mac, and Intel Mac should be available at the end of November.  We are waiting on a patch.

Green Campus IT committee
Looking for volunteers to form a committee that will look at how to save money and the environment.  Everyone should look into products from vendors we currently are using.  Eliminating CRTs is one measure, while we solicit other green measures.

HiSoftware
Online training is now available for HiSoftware

Next Meeting
Next meeting will be November 22, at 10:00 am in AH-1120.
