Qualitative Stats Package
This item will be put on the agenda for the January meeting.

Software Survey
An Excel spreadsheet of the Software Survey Contacts was passed around. Meeting attendees wrote in updates and/or corrections. The IT Managers are very interested in the software survey and are using the numbers from this survey in decision making.

Deep Freeze
Diana now has pricing for Deep Freeze licensing. For 2,000 workstations, the price quoted is $13,600 including maintenance. To bring our existing copies up to date and purchase enough copies to make 2,000 copies, the price would be $7,270.90 including maintenance. The price per workstation is $5.70 (up to 4999 licenses, then the cost goes down to $5.40). A decision needs to be made - is 2000 copies enough or too many?

Anti-executable
Pricing for Anti-executable is $22.40 per workstation. Anti-executable takes a snapshot of the system. It does not allow users to run any applications other than what is on the snapshot. Darrell Irwin is gathering information on who is interested in this product to see if a volume purchase should be pursued.

CounterSpy and McAfee AntiSpyware
The IT Managers have authorized and purchased CounterSpy and McAfee Anti-spyware module. CounterSpy was purchased for 3 years and McAfee Anti-spyware module for 2 years and begins immediately.

IT managers will receive an email from UCO requesting chargeback numbers and contact names for budget chargebacks and IT contacts for each of their areas. Once the IT managers have authorized payment for their area, download information for the AntiSpyware will be emailed to the IT contact.

McAfee AntiVirus
It has been renewed until December 30, 2008. Once chargeback information has been received for the AntiSpyware, UCO will be asking for the same type of payment information for the McAfee AntiVirus contract.

Until December 30th, there will be 2 grant #'s - one for McAfee AntiSpyware - one for the McAfee AntiVirus After December 30th, there will be one number for both products. Diana will make these downloads available on ROHAN after January 1, 2007 for those not having access to the grant numbers.

SPSS
SPSS 15 for Windows has arrived. This version should be available for distribution by the beginning of November. AMOS 7 for Windows came bundled with SPSS 15.

Acrobat Pro V8
The part number for Acrobat Pro V8 will be available on October 23rd. The ship date is scheduled for November 8th.

EPO Training
EPO training was held on October 17th. The 1st session had 24 in attendance and covered the basics of EPO. The 2nd session is November 28th and will be more backend management. Contact Darrell Irwin if you wish to attend the 2nd session.

Patch Management
The Patch Management Committee is still in the testing phase. Installation of Autonomics, LanDesk, and Zenworks should be in place and ready for testing in the next few weeks. If you want to do testing with any or all of these products, let Diana know.

ATI Memo
There was a memo issued by the Chancellor's Office regarding Access to Electronic and Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities. The URL for this memo is: http://www.calstate.edu/AcadAff/CodedMemos/AA-2006-41.pdf This memo lists very aggressive deadlines. The memo covers accessibility for Web Pages, Purchasing and Instructional materials. Campuses must have an action plan for the web by January, 2007. James Frazee is Chair of SDSU's sub-committee for accessible web pages.
