Steve Voelker will coordinate contact with Vortex on possibilities. Keith Burt will contact New Horizons regarding additional vouchers. Carol Tohsaku is interested in how BATS can fit into this.Oracle access to SIMS/R changes
Forms will be upgraded from 4.5 to 6. This requires a new client. Those who currently use the "fat" client will need to download the new ~200MB installer. Current date for the upgrade is July 26, however this is not set in stone. Any concerns should be addressed to Susan Mar or Bill Lee.DBMS Copy
Gregory Martin (CAL) brought up a request to determine usage of this program. It turns out that a site license cost is $10 less than the cost for a new license for a single network. PSFA also uses the program. Discussion indicated that more use would be made of the program if it were readily available. The request will be forwarded to Academic Affairs.General Discussion
Microsoft Select agreement (the volume purchase agreement, not the enterprise agreement) has been renewed with ASAP. Celia will send out the name and contact information for the person at ASAP. UCO will receive media for all products sometime after August 1, however this media will be available in case of emergency ONLY. A copy of the PO showing purchase of a product will need to be shown. It is NOT to burned. All purchases should include purchase of the media in addition to the license to ensure that the user will have a copy of the media. Again, no copies of the software are to be made.Next MWSSLS meeting will be August 15, 2002 in AH-1120 at 10 a.m.
PLEASE NOTE: The statements found on the MWSSLS Home Page are for informational purposes only. While every effort is made to ensure that this information is up to date and accurate, official information can be found in the University publications.
