Turnitin Software
The trial time for using this software ended 5/31/02. We expect to hear back from the Chancellor's office regarding the results, no date was given.

Citation Managers - Reference Manager, End Note, and Procite
No discussion.

Standard Software Survey
Cyndi and Diana are in the process of putting this up on the web. Several scheduled events may delay this.

Calendar Software
The MeetingMaker license was renewed for another year. There will be an upgrade to version 7.1 mid-July. This will probably require all clients to be touched.

There is some question on whether this program will continue to be renewed and/or if it will continue to be maintained on campus. The information regarding this needs to come from some official source. Kevin Carter will bring this up at the next CIO's meeting.

SPAM
Various products are being researched for evaluation. No details were available.

Macromedia
The Macromedia contract is now in place. The glitches with the way the Chancellor's office was implementing the ordering have been worked out. Orders will be verified, with codes sent after verification.

S-Plus Stat
Received request for S-Plus stat software to be site licenced. This will be forwarded to Susan Mar for consideration by Academic Affairs.

General Discussion
It was brought up that when the Chancellor's Office negotiates a contract they tack on an administrative fee of 11%. This may or may not be reflected in the amounts that they advertise for the products.

It was suggested that having a training on XP similar to what was given on the Mac OS X and OS X Server would be really helpful. Who would do the training? Who would coordinate it?
