CSU has negotiated a contract that allows for individual purchase of the product at the previously quoted site license price of $21 per copy. Orders should go through Compucom.Novell Contract Update

Present at the meeting were Diana Osborn, John Denune, Stephen Treger, James Frazee, and Richard Cobble. The committee determined that we should look at the RFC put together by University of Michigan as a template for ours.This meeting came up with the following as a beginning for the process:

- ability to integrate with SDSU's portal
- user definable alarm system (send to pager, email etc)
- resource scheduling, searching etc
- xml -> import/export of data (including way of migrating to/from)

- interoperability (via import/export or directly) with iPlanet, Blackboard, MeetingMaker, Exchange
Specifications have been updated to reflect the requirements from the Chancellor's Office. There are still some web pages with old information coming up in the searchs. These need to be removed. Suggested that the Minimum Workstation Standards page reiterate the need for people to be in contact with their Data Coordinators.Printer Repair Depot
Jack from Printer Repair Depot introduced himself and his company. He brought brochures about his company for the committee and answered questions.SPSS
Celia has the new codes for SPSS, all versions. Current expiration date is Oct 31, 2001. She will need to be contacted to obtain the codes. You will need to provide version numbers, platform, number of licences and whose name the software is checked out under. Be aware that version 10 and 10.1 have different codes. On the Mac version 10.07 will only run on G3 or greater running OS 9.1 or greater.Next MWSSLS meeting will be August 16, 2001 in LL-430 at 10 a.m.
