McAfee Update
The new site license is in effect, we are still waiting for information on how we are to house the data and do distribution. The new license is unlimited for sdsu faculty, staff, students and auxiliaries for both at work and at home. As part of the agreement we are to house the dat and program files on sdsu resources and point our clients to those resources. Each department contact (per Celia's list) will receive a cd and documentation as soon as it is received.

Diskkeeper
All numbers are now in from departments wishing copies.

Personal Firewalls
No new information at this point.

Backup Software
No new information.

Secure ftp/telnet
Stephen Treger and Barry Dworak are going to look into the possibility of creating a script for easy use of teraterm (free) for use in secure ftp/telnet sessions. If this is possible the need for purchased software to do this would be gone.

Altris Vision
Presentation of the software will be done on November 30 from 2pm - 4 pm in LA 78 PC classroom.

Minimum Workstation Standards update
The new standards are now up on the web.

Next MWSSLS meeting will be January 18, 2001 in AH-1120 at 10 a.m.
