PROPOSED
SDSU LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL & TRANSGENDER RESOURCE CENTER
To
be located in the beautiful Student Services Building on the San
Diego State University Campus
For the past five years the LGBTSU have been working with faculty
and staff to establish a LGBT Resource Center. If accomplished this
would be the first resource center for a California State University.
It has been a challenge for us to get the center started due to
financial reasons yet there are possibilities on the horizon.
Mission: To establish a Center of Excellence Providing
- Workshops,
forums, conferences and training by professional staff and volunteers
- Social
and cultural programming for the campus and community
- Support
and referral services for students, faculty and staff
- LGBT
resource, library and archives
- Networking
with local community groups
- Curriculum
development and research for gender based issues
- A
safe and nurturing environment
Donations
are urgently needed to make the SDSU LGBT Resource Center a reality.
