What is LASSO?

Are you interested in Latin America and Latin American Studies but you don't know how to get involved? Join LASSO, the Latin American Studies Student Organization. LASSO is made up of students that are interested in Latin America and with the Center for Latin American Studies we try to promote awareness of Latin American cultures and issues through a variety of academic and social activities. In the past we have sponsored the Ventana Latina Film Series, conferences and even a school supply drive. in the Fall of 2003 we sponsored a showing of the Fourth World War by Big Noise Films along with a discussion with one of the directors.
