Graduation Competency 9

All students completing the upper division Kinesiology degree program should:

demonstrate knowledge of the conditions of safe practice in movement-related contexts across the life span and within diverse populations, and respond appropriately to common injuries occurring during physical activity.

 Example  3 Demonstrate knowledge of ethical and legal considerations relating to injury prevention, proper use of equipment, principles of safe exercising (positions, duration's, etc), mechanics in sport/movement technique, and supervision of students in exercise and movement Injury prevention; anatomical function, structure and movement (movement mechanics).
