| "There's something about the midnight sky..." This first line to a recently finished poem (see Matt's personal page) was introduced to our group by Derek Smith in June 2001 at our campsite near Catavina. At then end of each day, when our work has been completed, the gear stowed, and the next day's tanks filled, we toast the transition to night, engage the civil twilight, and await the midnight sky. | |
