The general
focus of our research group is to understand the biology and ecology of marine
organisms, particularly coastal fishes as models to test hypotheses of basic or
applied ecological interest. We work in a variety of ecosystems,
including reefs, bays and estuaries, and the rocky intertidal zone. Our
interests include the processes and mechanisms that influence the demography of
populations and the structure of assemblages. Often we direct our studies
towards the early life history stages of fishes, especially concerning
recruitment (input of young) to demersal habitats. Explore our website to
learn more about us and our projects.
