A little about Colin...

Growing up in Oregon, I spent many days wandering the rocky coast looking through tidepools and checking out the wonderful display of organisms.  This interest as a child led me to pursue my education in marine biology.  As an undergraduate at Oregon State University, I obtained a variety of field experience in marine ecology.  In being awarded an Oregon Sea Grant fellowship, I was able to conduct research on sand accretion rates of native and invasive dunegrasses on the coastal dunes of Oregon.  After my undergraduate degree, I helped set up monitoring experiments in the rocky intertidal zone for PISCO in the Menge-Lubchenco lab at OSU.

While at SDSU, I will continue to expand my knowledge in marine ecology.  My research interests involve coastal marine habitats and their effects on populations of marine organisms.  During my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, watching college sports, and rooting on my beloved Beavers!
