National Center for the Study of
Postsecondary Educational Supports (NCSPES): The vision of the National Center is
to move beyond what has and has not worked in the past, towards a new system of
educational supports for people with disabilities in the 21st century.
Postsecondary programs of the future must foster high expectations, build
self-confidence, and develop an understanding of strengths and weaknesses of
all students. All teachers, support persons, and agency providers must focus
upon the use of individualized supports and technology to meet each student's
needs and promote a successful transition to chosen career.

National Center on Secondary Education and
Transition: The
National Center on Secondary Education and Transition seeks to increase the
capacity of national, state and local agencies and organizations to improve
secondary education and transition results for youth with disabilities and
their families.
ö
The National Collaborative on Workforce and
Disability for Youth - NCWD/Youth is one of two technical assistance
centers funded by the US Department of Labor to assist the workforce
development community address issues affecting the employment of people with
disabilities. The site contains useful information and resources for youth with
disabilities and their families, service providers and other front line
workers, administrators, policy makers, and employers.

The National Information Center for Children
and Youth with Disabilities: NICHCY is the national information
and referral center that provides information on disabilities and
disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. Our
special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22).

National Transition Network: The
National Transition Network (NTN) was funded by the US Department of Education,
Office of Special Education Programs until September 30, 2001. NTN provided
technical assistance and evaluation services to states with grants for
Transition Systems Change and School-to-Work.

Transition Coalition site offers information, support, and linkages to

Transition Research Institute at Illinois (TRI): The
Transition Research Institute at the University of Illinois (TRI), established
in 1985, identifies effective practices, conducts intervention and evaluation
