There I was, standing over him like a true mad man. With bulging eyes I hovered over him, knife in hand. I donÕt know why it had to come to this but I think I have a problem. ItÕs not as if he harmed me but from the first moment I saw him I knew he had to die. His name was Mr. Roth. He stood 5Ó5Õ and weighed about 180 pounds. His hair was light brown with blonde streaks, his eyes hazel and bright. He was a famous musician and loved his job. I could tell that he was the perfect candidate for my special midnight murder. IÕm guessing you want to know how and why this man was murdered.
Before I get to that, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr.Trite, retired brain surgeon. People describe me as a pretty nice guy but they have no idea about the secret life I live. IÕve officially labeled myself as unwholesome individual .IÕve kept this inside of me for nearly 4 years. ItÕs time I confess the crimes IÕve committed.
It all started when I decided I wanted to have a Halloween party at my castle in Germany. Not just any party though, a costume party. A party so extravagant even my uptight friends would have a blast. So, my plan was to have a musician play at the party. I think you can guess who this musician was. He arrived at my castle in a very peculiar getup: an outfit that made me suspect he was truly creative and into his art. Even his mannerisms and the way he carried himself were so delicate that even the most evil would feel pity for him.
When he arrived at the door, I chuckled and said, ÒWelcome to my grand castle. Do come in and sit down, kind sirÓ
ÒGood day sir,Ó he replied with a slight Russian accent.
ÒI do believe youÕre here to play your beautiful music at my party,Ó I said with suspicion.
ÒOf course sir, nothing but the best music will be played I assure you,Ó he said with uncertainty.
I knew from that moment on he was going to be my target. Even though I have never murdered anyone before IÕve always thought of myself as someone with an eccentric personality. As a child IÕve always been one to stray away from crowds and stick to my ever so popular chemistry set. I never really had control over anything and I think thatÕs affecting me. I suddenly find myself plotting ways on how to kill this man. But how? How would I get away with this? What if the plan doesnÕt work out? Those are questions I ask myself while speaking to Mr. Roth.
So there I sit across from this man plotting my revenge. Perhaps that youÕre thinking I have no reason to seek revenge on this man but at the time that didnÕt matter to me. In fact, it still doesnÕt matter to me. What happened happened. ThereÕs nothing left to do.
The crime is murder and I am guilty. I started off by having Mr. Roth come over the next week and practice for the party. Little did he know Halloween would be his last night to live. Halloween was the following week and I had been preparing to kill this man for over a week now. I had planned to take him down to the basement and end his life but somehow that had begun to seem too easy. So then I began contemplating the idea of taking him down to my secluded lake.
I finally found the perfect plan.
I thought to myself that the perfect time would be right before he had to perform. Now, to you that might not seem so smart but to me, in my twisted mind, that plan was going to work.
On the night of Halloween he arrived at my house with no clue as to what was about to happen to him. ÒGood evening,Ó he said as he set up his equipment.
ÒCan I help you with anything?Ó I asked.
ÒNo thank you, IÕm okay,Ó he said abruptly.
I think he could tell that I was a little anxious so I replied. ÒLater I think it would only be fair if I showed you around.Ó
ÒThat would be nice,Ó he said anxiously.
Finally, I would be in control of the situation and there was nothing he could do or say to make me change my mind. With half an hour left before it was time for him to perform I told him that I would show him around the castle. We first went to the lake where I knew for sure I was going to kill him.
ÒThis is beautiful! I wish I could live out here by the lake...Ó he exclaimed
ÒMaybe you can,Ó I interrupted.
ÒHow would that be possible?Ó he asked.
ÒSimple,Ó I said while taking the knife out of my pocket.
ÒWhat are you doing with---?Ó he screamed
ÒYour wish is my command,Ó I interrupted.
That was it; just like that he was gone. A quick and easy murder that even I didnÕt think I would get away with. Maybe now your wondering how I got away with all that. Well let me just tell you. Those people never knew what was coming for them. I guess now youÕll never know how the story ends. It is truly sad how he had to leave us like that but he got what was coming for him. Now I sit here knowing that anything and everything is possible when it comes to me achieving my goals. I too can have control and thatÕs how it will be.
