JHSSD-Henry Schwartz Collection

Henry Schwartz was a historian and in 1980, one of the founders of the Jewish Historical Society of San Diego.This two box collection was donated by his widow, Eva Schwartz, in 1992. Schwartz authored many articles about San Diego Jewish History for various journals and newspaper. His collection consists of approximately 90 file folders, alphabetized by subject content, containing original notes and sources for the many articles he researched and authored. Folder subject contents include: Anti-Semitism, B'nai B'rith, California Jews, Holocaust, Salk Institute, Western Jews, San Diego Synagogues, and numerous folders on prominent Jewish citizens of San Diego, past and present.
