Working Title: Beautiful places in San Diego
Author: John Esposito
Date: April 22, 2010
Subjects
I interviewed three more students
that go to SDSU. None of them had prior history in web design.
Think Aloud Task
Now that I have all my colors, and
clutter figured out, I asked all three of my tested audience if my site had any
flaws. Does anything not work? Trouble finding certain places? Home button clear?
Summary of Think Aloud
All three of the tested audience
liked my web page. They all said that it would be a very good site to be placed
as a homepage because of the innovative search bar. The only problem is the
search bar doesn’t work. They all like the pictures because it brought life to
each place in San Diego. They all felt the colors were calming, representing
the inner beauty of San Diego rather than the fast paced, expensive life we all
live.
Summary of Post-test Interview
Before I tested my audience, I wanted
my site to be an innovative way to search and get a feel for what San Diego has
to offer rather than what everyone already knows. I made all of my fonts bright
and bold so eye catching links grasp the attention of the user. All three of my
tested subjects claimed that I accomplished this task. They claimed that my
site is a well designed web page and will be useful to the general public.
Findings to be implemented
As a result of the Beta test, I will
make the following changes:
1) Make the Search bar work so
people can make my page their HOME PAGE.
2) Fix columns so that
pictures line up with the page. Scattered
pictures create clutter.
3) Fix titles on separate
pages.
4) Make Home and Contact on the same side as the
favorites.
Findings
that will not be implemented
