Program Details

Enrollment in GENST450 – India: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow will offer students 3 units of resident SDSU credit and fulfills the Area C, Humanities, upper-division general education requirement (Explorations of Human Experience) for graduation.

India Program features and activities include:

  • Lectures by Dr. M.C. Madhavan, SDSU Professor Emeritus of Economics and Asian Studies, on Indian history, society, and current events.

  • Guest lectures by prominent academicians, industrialists, and senior government officials.

  • Garden welcome party hosted by important local figures.

  • Tours to a variety of business centers, cultural attractions, and historical landmarks.

  • Private accommodations with attached bath at PSG Guest House.

  • Optional daily yoga and meditation classes and Indian classical dance classes offered free of charge.

  • Most meals provided.

  • Roundtrip group flight option available for group of 10 or more students -- see coordinator for details.
