Passport & Visa Information

To Apply for a US Passport

All US citizens participating in the India Program will need an entry visa and at least 6 months remaining validity before their passport expiration date to enter India.

To apply for a US passport you will need:

  • Official birth certificate

  • Two passport photos (2” x 2”) – in addition to those required for the program application

  • Photo ID

  • $110 application fee, plus $25 first-time processing fee

Visa Requirement for US Citizen’s Travel to India

A visa is required for non-Indian passport holders. All participants in the India Program will be assisted in obtaining a visa. Please be sure to have your passport in hand by the program due date to avoid delays in securing your visa, thus impacting your ability to participate in the program. Apply for your passport early and avoid potential problems in obtaining your visa!
