The International Security and Conflict Resolution
(ISCOR) major at San Diego State University is an innovative, unique,
and comprehensive program designed to provide students with
an understanding of world affairs and a commitment to conflict
resolution. The only program of its kind in California, ISCOR
is located in three colleges within San Diego State University:
The Colleges of Arts and Letters, Professional Studies and
Fine Arts, and Sciences. Its interdisciplinary program stresses
the following goals:
- To examine the increasingly interdependent and interconnected
global system
- To analyze a world experiencing both increased cooperation
and conflict
- To assess international issues from a variety of viewpoints
and perspectives
